Patient Transporter

Description



Transport performs duties involving the movement of patients, items, and equipment to and from various nursing units and destinations within the hospital. The transporters' primary focus is to respond to and complete tasks within the departmental productive standards, these tasks are assigned to them by the Transport-Tracking automated dispatch system and their supervisor.



Transport must promote team concept with fellow staff members by using lifting devices to ensure a safe transfer.

Required qualifications:




  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire .


  • 6 months of involved in the movement of ambulatory and non-ambulatory patients in a Health care setting or 2 or more years of military service.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
